| In front of you there is a mine field. Under each cell there could be a mine but you do not know yet. The object of the game is to find and mark all the mines on this field without hitting one.

| If you uncover a cell it tells you a number. This number is the amount of mines in the cells directly next to this cell. Every cell can only contain one mine, so if the number you get is for example 8 every cell around the revealed one will have a mine below. If there is no number on an uncovered cell then all the surrounding cells certainly do not contain a mine.

| Now by revealing and marking cells you have to conclude which cell has a mine and which does not according to the numbers given by adjacent cells. There may also be situations where you cannot say for sure if there is a mine under a certain cell or not. |
